Enjoy Fjords, Arctic Landscapes, and the Midnight Sun on This Arctic Circle Express Train Tour
It's the perfect way to see Norway.
UpNorway, a curator of amazing journeys through Norway, has a new self-guided train journey that outdoor-loving travelers should not miss.
Hop on the Arctic Circle Express Train for an 11-day itinerary that takes guests through breathtaking mountain landscapes, gorgeous fjords, and stunning waterfalls that make this Scandinavian country so special. Not only will guests have opportunities to get close to nature, there will also be plenty of cultural activities, local food, and lots of time to enjoy the midnight sun.
Journeys are available between June and August, when most of the day in Norway is pure sunlight, with few dark hours. In certain parts of Norway, towards the north, it's actually sunny all day long.
This package includes train tickets from Oslo, plus bus and ferry transfers and a rental car for days seven to nine. In addition, it also includes 11 nights double accommodation with breakfast and three 5-course dinners at Finse 1222, Aak Hotel, and Vega Havhotell (which are all stops along the train journey). Guests are also treated to a fjord cruise, entry to the Norwegian Mountaineering Museum, a self-guided hike, a kayaking experience, and, on the last day, an exciting RIB (large inflatable speedboat) tour over the world's strongest whirlpool.
This beautiful and action-packed journey is also the perfect way to turn off your digital device (except when necessary), unplug, and truly enjoy the natural world. Some stops may be completely free of TV screens and noise that we're used to in everyday life.
Prices for this 11-day trip begin at $2,660 per person based on double occupancy. It should be noted that the price does not include airfare.
