Each layer is incised with sharp tools for texture and interest. Over time, some marks are obscured while others remain intact. The result is a luminous painting that will bring beauty and harmony into your home.Artist StatementI like to create art that resonates with the quieter, more reflective nature of our being. Voluminous clouds, lapping waves, or vast, empty fields evoke a momentary desire for contemplation and solitude. It seeks to connect at a deeper level. About the ArtistVictoria Primicias was always drawn to water. As a child in the Philippines, her family spent school breaks playing on Lingayen Beach, the same stretch of beach where Gen. MacArthur landed when he fulfilled his promise to return. Later emigrating to Toronto, the artist lived in The Beaches neighborhood, and when work took her to Chicago, she lived in The Loop, a block away from Lake Michigan. Now residing in NC, she is an avid swimmer and works full-time as a fine artist. Victoria Primicias is a 25-year graphic design veteran whose work has been recognized in the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Print magazine and Communication Arts magazine. She graduated with a bachelors of fine art history from the University of Toronto and received a graphic design degree from George Brown College. read more
