Ceramic sculpture, 'Ekeko' (Peru)

Ekeko is laden with gifts aplenty for he is god of abundance and prosperity. Of Tiahuanaco origin, Ekeko is revered in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina, where he is usually put in a place of honor and cigarettes are given as offering. Usually depicted as a man with mustache, Guillermo and Eduardo dress him in the style of Arequipa. The lucky statuette is molded of ceramic and painted by hand with exquisite detail.
