These confetti-filled eggs act as mini piñatas when broken open—a fun treat for bunnies big and small on Easter morning. Following Mexican tradition, crack one over a friend or loved one’s head as they make a wish—or display a bowl of the tissue-covered beauties on your Easter table as a colorful centerpiece, then have each guest take one home.
Straighten out a paper clip and use it to poke a hole in the egg. Tilt the paper clip back and forth to slowly chip away at the shell and widen the hole until it measures 1-2 inches. Empty out the yolk and white.
Step 2 of 5
Rip the colored tissue paper into small pieces, coat the egg lightly with glue, then place tissue onto the shell, overlapping as you go for a stained glass effect.
Step 3 of 5
Use the hole punch on various colors of construction paper to create confetti.
Step 4 of 5
Fill each egg with confetti.
Step 5 of 5
Glue a piece of tissue paper over the opening in the bottom of the egg to seal in its contents.
