    This was really tasty and easy to make. I used store-bought pizza dough, and it turned out really well. The top was pretty greasy after I took it out of the oven, so I had to drain it slightly before serving it--I'd recommend keeping an eye on this before serving.

    Watched this video cause I love Sarah Carey knowing I would never make meatball pizza. Well 20 minutes later I realized, hey I have cooked spicy Italian sausage and all of the other ingredients in the freezer including the dough ball and marinara!! I cut the sausage into fourths lengthwise and then crosswise into small pieces and tossed with the breadcrumbs. Sprinkled with red pepper flakes after baking. Didn't seem promising but it was seriously DELICIOUS. Yum and it's like magic! Try me!!

    Delicious. I made my own pizza dough, using Martha's Baking Handbook. I used Newman's Marinara for the sauce otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. It has been pinned to my Pinterest board and will be made again and again.

    My Sicilian Aunt made pizza this way for us until she passed away a few years ago, just shy of 90, and I do it too. The crust is almost fried, but so good and crunchy. I always have to bake the crust for a bit first before I put on toppings or I feel like the cheese burns before the crust is cooked. Also, after a bit of baking I rub a clove of garlic on top of the crust. Carmelized onion, spinach and cheese is my favorite. Aunt Maggie used to make one with egg and parmesan poured over the crust.
