This year, think outside the basket. All you need is a paper lunch sack and pinking shears. Use the shears to snip across the folded bag, about 6 inches from the bottom. From the top portion, cut two 1-inch-wide strips for a handle. Glue one on top of the other (or use one strip of card stock), and then glue the ends just inside the opened base. Decorate the bags as you like. (We used gold dot stickers and paper flowers.)
