There's a good reason why Martha sticks to an extremely precise morning routine—it works! Our founder is known for maintaining a schedule in the morning: She typically gets out of bed around 4:30 a.m. and gets straight to work. She spends a few hours checking email and news, as well as heading outside to feed all of the animals living on her Bedford farm. By 6:30 a.m., Martha can be found practicing yoga or enjoying another form of exercise before getting a quick, light breakfast in. Despite how busy her morning is, she also manages to arrange three or four outfits for the day. Once all of these to-dos are completed, she sits down to execute her daily beauty regimen.
Like Martha, you may find that you're also pretty busy in the morning, so if you're looking for a classic everyday beauty look that you can turn into your own routine, look to Martha for inspiration. You might think that the secret to mastering her flawless beauty routine has to do with the products—but, as Martha and her trusted makeup artist of nearly 10 years, Daisy Toye, will tell you, the process (and the steps that she takes to bring her look to life) are just as important.
Starting with her approach and tips for a beautiful complexion, Martha is sharing the products she uses to achieve a warm glow—whether she's sitting for a slew of Zoom calls or shooting in the studio—while complementing her signature features. She also reveals the powerhouse beauty essentials that she uses to achieve a simple yet sleek eye, and her tips for ensuring the very best results. Plus, our founder is also sharing additional products (like body shimmer and a nude gloss!) she uses to upgrade her look for special events and celebrations—and Daisy walks us through exactly how to apply them.

Luminizer
As Martha's trusted makeup artist of nearly 10 years, Daisy Toye has an advanced degree in her beauty routine. "Martha handles her own skin care like a pro," says Daisy. "She masks in the morning, then applies serums and moisturizer—and a generous squeeze of sunscreen on her face, chest, and hands, rain or shine." After SPF, and for dewiness and a smooth canvas for makeup, Daisy applies this illuminating priming lotion to Martha's face.

Mascara
After curling her lashes, Daisy adds a few coats of this mascara, which she likes for its flexible wand. "I can persuade Martha to do a smoky eye for a special occasion, but she always prefers a subtler, not-too-done-up look," says Daisy of our founder's overall approach to eye makeup.
