    I make this recipe over and over. I use vegetable stock instead of chicken broth because I think it has more flavor. I also cook my gf pasta separately. And last night I cooked the sweet potatoes on low for a long time in the broth and I think it made the soup even better.

    My husband and I love this soup. I use chicken sausage and whole wheat pasta, and my husband can't tell the difference. I also use all chicken stock or broth instead of water as it actually makes a big difference in flavor. I take the leftovers to work for lunch so I usually cook the pasta separate and add it when serving to keep the pasta firm. Really great flavor!

    I've made this recipe at least a half dozen times now, and I absolutely adore it. I'm actually making it tonight to entertain! I use spicy Italian chicken sausage, butternut squash instead of sweet potato (only because it's conveniently prepackaged), and I add spices such as thyme and basil to taste.

    Really good, really easy~ I was looking for a recipe to use up some sweet potatoes and kale from my CSA box and found this soup one. Wow - how delicious and nutritious this turned out to be. I grilled the sausage to get some of the fat out, but that wasn' t really necessary.

    Awwww, yeah. This soup is delicious, nutritious, beautiful and amazing!!! Such a great fall soup. Will be making it all winter too!! I used hot Italian turkey sausage. YUM!

    Wow! This was awesome! I made it with mild Italian sausage and kale. Really hearty! Will be adding this to my fall/winter soup rotation.

    I made this over the weekend and it was SO GOOD! The prep was quick and the active cook time was minimal, really all I had to do was wait for the soup to boil and the noodles to get al dente. I will definitely be making this again, it was hearty and perfect for winter.

    I thought it was terribly bland. I added a handful of Italian seasonings, pinch of red pepper flakes for heat, pinch of nutmeg, 3 bullion cubes, 1/2 a tin of tomatoes, and 2 cans of tomato sauce (I was out of tomato paste). I also left out the pasta so it was gluten free. After all that, it was delicious.

    Delicious! Even my husband who says he doesn't like sweet potatoes had seconds. I used spinach 'cause that's what I had on hand. I also forgot the parm until I had finished the bowl! Added a squirt of sriracha for a little heat. Will absolutely make this again!

    This soup is easy to make and absolutely delicious. I realized I had forgotten the Parmesan cheese after I finished my bowl. I never missed it.
