The plums you use to make the syrup become soft and sweet -- perfect for serving over ice cream. For an instant party, serve these delicious drinks with Crostini with Green Apple and Prosciutto. Ingredients 1 cup sugar 3 plums, cut into ½-inch wedges, divided ⅓ cup lemon juice (from 3 lemons) 12 ounces vodka Seltzer Directions In a small saucepan, bring sugar, 2 plums, and 1 cup water to a boil and cook 3 minutes. Let cool completely. Strain syrup through a fine-mesh sieve. (To store, refrigerate in an airtight container, up to 2 weeks.) Fill eight glasses with ice.
