Giving Tree Family Tree

  • Craft knife

  1. Download tree and name tag templates. (The tags should be printed on artist's paper; see Tools and Materials list, above.) Save tree template on a USB flash drive, and take to a copy center to print on a piece of watercolor paper. Our poster fit a 22-by-30-inch frame, but you can print it on a single sheet of paper sized to fit your frame.

  2. Using craft knife, cut out name tags on mat. (Keep larger tags for recent names.) Paint edges with gold ink. When dry, write names and birth dates.

  3. Brush paste onto back of tags, and position on tree. (Use ruler to keep lines straight.)
