Martha's Skincare Regimen and the Products She Can't Live Without
1 of 23
Our favorite multitasker is serious about caring for her skin. And Martha's regimen works, as evidenced by her complexion. Luckily, she's open about the products she uses—and has listed them here, along with the order of their application. Pay attention to that part: While products are crucial (these have all won a coveted spot near her sink), her great skin is due just as much to process and discipline as it is to great formulas.
And there's no one quite so disciplined as Martha. Her day begins at 5 a.m., and her first beauty product of the day is a mask, not a cleanser. She lets it sit for about 30 minutes before stepping into the shower, after which she applies a roster of serums and creams, depending on how her skin feels that particular day. But there's one key product Martha never goes without or switches up, and that's sunscreen. She doesn't use sun protection at the conclusion of her routine, though; she'll apply it just before stepping outside to maximize the formula's longevity.
While effective formulas—you'll notice Martha gravitates towards a few select brands, all of which are known for their tried-and-true products—are integral to Martha's skincare regimen, nutrition and hydration play important roles, as well. Our founder sips her first glass of water when she rises, and continues to do so (adding a bit of lemon for flavor!) throughout the day. She'll also whip up a green juice, full vegetables that make for happy skin. Ahead, everything Martha does for her skin, including the products she can't live without.

Hydrating from the Inside Out
Martha's skincare routine also extends into the kitchen, where she whips up a hydrating green juice. Using a Breville juicer, Martha makes a six-ounce glass of fresh juice with organic produce from her farm. Spinach, cucumber, ginger, parsley, chervil, and orange peel are standard ingredients. Depending on what's in season, she might add papaya, mango, or pear.
Or, she'll enjoy some lemon water. Martha drinks her first glass of water at 5 a.m., and throughout the day a carafe of H20, often with lemon, is within reach. There is no target amount she seeks to consume daily; rather, she lets her body dictate the quantity she takes in. And if you see Martha holding a teacup? It likely contains a brew of mint leaves—no sweetener.
