Sprout Napkin Ties How-To

The sage leaves aren't just a pretty addition -- they're fragrant, too.

  • Velvet ribbons, about 22 inches long

  • Small brussels sprouts

  • Fresh sage leaves

  • Sequin pins

  1. For each napkin tie, sandwich 1 end of a ribbon between a sprout and a pair of sage leaves. Use a sequin pin to secure, pinning through the leaves first, then the ribbon, then into the sprout. Repeat on opposite end of ribbon.

  2. Tie the ribbon around a napkin in a loose knot.
