Meghan Markle Wore Princess Diana's Stunning Aquamarine Ring to the Hope Gala Last Night

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first wed back in 2018, the Duchess of Sussex wore a stunning aquamarine sparkler on her finger as her "something blue." The gem was a tribute to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, the ring's original owner. During a recent outing, Meghan honored the Duchess of Wales once again when she was photographed wearing the eye-catching bauble for a second time.

Meghan donned a white, off-the-shoulder custom Louis Vuitton gown to last night's Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Gala. The dress is reminiscent of the bateau-style Givenchy number she wore during her nuptials to prince Harry at St. George's Chapel in Windsor. She accessorized her Hope Gala look with black pumps, a matching clutch, drop earrings, and of course, Princess Diana's emerald-cut ring.

When Meghan was first seen wearing the ring in 2018, a Kensington Palace official confirmed that it originally belonged to Princess Diana. The Duchess of Wales was photographed wearing the sparkler at a fundraising event for Christie's in 1997. According to a report by Entertainment Tonight, the the ring was then gifted to Meghan by Prince Harry on their wedding day.

The blue accessory was unmistakeable when Meghan stepped out with it on her finger once again for Tuesday's gala. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were there to be honored for their humanitarian work with Archewell, a non-profit organization founded by the couple. Meghan and Prince Harry were recognized for their human rights work in mental health, racial injustice, and their social impact through their foundation.
