Amazon Prime Day officially has a date! One of the biggest and most anticipated sales of the summer will take place on July 12 to July 13. The annual two-day event features unbeatable deals on everything from electronics and clothes to home goods and pet products. According to a report by Business Wire, last year consumers saved a whopping $1.4 million during Prime Day, with the most shopped categories being home, electronics, and nutrition and wellness.

You need to be an Amazon Prime member in order to reap the benefits of the massive sale, but there's still time to sign up for the site's membership. In addition to being able to participate in Prime Day, members also get free two-day shipping, exclusive year-round deals, and access to the site's video streaming service.
