Saturday marked Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor's first birthday—an event that her parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were eager to celebrate. As a tribute to their daughter's special day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared an adorable new photo of the tiny royal. In the shot, Lilibet can be seen wearing a blue dress with a white bow in her red hair (a trait she likely inherited from Prince Harry!).

The new photo was taken during Lilibet's backyard picnic celebration, which was held at the Sussexes' Frogmore Cottage home in the United Kingdom. People reports that the candid shot was snapped by close family friend and guest Misan Harriman, who attended the event with his wife and children. To further mark the special occasion, Lilibet was presented with a personalized cake made by Violet Bakery's Claire Ptak, who also created Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding cake.

Her parents weren't the only people who celebrated Lilibet's first year of life. Many members of the royal family paid tribute to the big milestone with posts on social media. Queen Elizabeth, Prince William and Kate Middleton, and Prince Charles and Camilla all took to their official accounts to wish the Sussexes' daughter a happy birthday. Harry and Meghan "remain incredibly touched by the countless birthday wishes for their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor," the couple's spokesperson told People.

Even those not directly related to the royals wanted to honor Lilibet's big day and many did so by donating to the World Central Kitchen in her honor. Donations to the non-profit organization, which provides meals in the wake of natural disasters, totaled to over 100 thousand dollars. Prince Harry and Meghan "extended their gratitude to all who have shown support for the organization, which is especially near to their hearts," their spokesperson told People.

Lilibet's birthday coincided with Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, a historic event that marked the Queen's 70th year on the throne and solidified her as the longest serving British monarch to date. The Jubilee is what brought Harry and Meghan, as well as their two children—Archie and Lilibet—to the U.K. from their home in California. The trip marked Lilibet's first time visiting her dad's native country, and it was also the first time the tiny royal met her great-grandmother and namesake, Queen Elizabeth.
