Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's Son Just Took His First Steps—See the Sweet Photo

This Easter was an especially memorable one for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. The royal couple, who welcomed their first child, August, in February 2021, celebrated a big milestone in his life. Over the holiday weekend, the little one took his very first steps in a field of daffodils; someone close to the couple took a photo of the moment, which shows the little one making his way towards his mom's arms (with a little help from Dad!).

August wore a blue sweater, cargo pants, and mini Air Jordans as he happily walked through the blooms. Princess Eugenie, who donned a gray tracksuit with pops of color, posted two sweet photos from this moment on her Instagram grid (the other image documents August playing with the flowers). The princess captioned the joyous post, which she shared yesterday, simply: "Happy Easter," she wrote.

The couple first announced their pregnancy in September 2020 with yet another message on Instagram: "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021," Princess Eugenie captioned the update. Buckingham Palace also shared the exciting news about the couple's then-impending journey towards parenthood. "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021," the message read.

This isn't the first time we've seen August this year; Princess Eugenie shared a few photos of the little one while celebrating his first birthday in February. In that post, the royal also revealed her favorite nickname for her son. "Happy 1st Birthday to our little hero Augie," Princess Eugenie wrote. "You are such a special soul that brightens every room with your smile and wave. You have made us so very proud. We love you!"
