The actress revealed the news quietly, according to Us Weekly, with a post on Instagram addressing Baena as her now-spouse. "So proud of my darling husband @jeffbaena for dreaming up another film that takes us to Italia to cause some more trouble," she captioned the post, which references the couple's latest movie, Spin Me Round. Fellow actors and fans alike inevitably shared their support and well wishes after hearing the news of their union. "Whoa!!!! Just took in the word husband and I am sending you both love and congratulations and blessings!!!!" actress Mary Steenburgen commented. "UM HUSBAND HOLD ON THERE," a fan wrote. They worked together on the films Life After Beth in 2014 and Joshy two years later. Plaza then produced The Little Hours in 2017, which Baena also wrote and directed. Plaza and Baena's subtle announcement of their marriage comes as no surprise, as the couple has previously shared that they prefer to stay out of the spotlight. "I don't like, you know, talking super personal about our relationship, honestly. But I'd say it's an amazing experience to work with your partner in this way," Plaza said. "I've worked with Jeff since his first movie. I've seen him evolve and I've seen him grow. It's a really special dynamic that we have.
