We know you love one-pot dinners just as much as we do. This streamlined approach to making the nightly meal has delicious results and is so much easier on the cook. But when it comes to summer one-pot dinners, we realize you might not think of sheet pan meals. Though might consider them (and the idea of turning on the oven at all) better-suited to fall or winter meals, there are certainly exceptions.

Just as you probably still use the oven for summer fruit crisps, pies, and cakes, you can and should turn it on for dinner sometimes—especially if your central AC keeps the place cool. For those nights when you need a one-pan meal, we're sharing our favorite sheet-pan dinners with summery accents. What's more, we're also giving our tops tips on how to make each of them taste even better on warm evenings. Feel free to eat any of these meals on the patio or deck.

Colorful, delicious, and ready in under an hour—40 minutes to be exact. This dinner of Sheet-Pan Chicken Fajitas, pictured above, truly has it all. It starts with boneless skinless chicken breasts and uses store-bought salsa. The hardest part about this meal might be getting a ripe avocado so plan ahead for that!

For those nights when you want something meaty for dinner, here's a simple sheet-pan dinner that's packed with flavor. These Sweet-and-Spicy Pork Chops are not as obviously summery as our other selections but we think the chops taste like a barbecue dinner straight off the grill. Bring more of the season to the table by swapping the quick-pickled cucumbers for a simple leafy green lettuce salad.
