And according to Insider, the talk show host now hilariously wants the gift he gave them to mark their special day back, since finding out during the couple's exclusive sit-down with Oprah Winfrey that they secretly tied the knot before their televised nuptials. "Among the many revelations in the interview, Harry and Meghan said that they secretly got married three days before their public wedding. A public wedding I attended," the comedian said on The Late Late Show. "And I've got to tell you, I want my toaster back. That was a wedding present, not a three-days-after-the-wedding present." Getty James jokingly noted his disbelief about how the couple's second ceremony played out. "I was shocked the ceremony I went to wasn't real. It was a sham, can you imagine? When they were like, 'Does anyone here object to this union?' and I was like, 'Me, I do,' they'd be like: 'That's too bad mate, they're already married. We're really just doing this for the show.'" Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Revealed How They Made Their Big Royal Wedding More Intimate At the pair's May 19, 2018, wedding, James reportedly also hosted their private reception in royal fashion and dressed up like Henry VIII for the occasion. "In the evening, there was 185 people I think, like a smaller dinner, close friends, and family," James previously told People. James continued, noting that the Duke of Sussex requested his unique get-up. "Harry asked if I would do like a performance of some kind," the comedian explained. "And so I did it, yeah. It wasn't really dressed as Henry VIII, it was just dressed in a kind of Tudor outfit. But I guess I look a bit like Henry VIII, so that's probably why." Was this page helpful?
