Scarlett Johansson Just Debuted Her Wedding Band
The actress was spotted wearing her new accessory while out in New York City.
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are about two weeks into married life—and the actress just revealed the accessory that proves that she and the SNL anchor made things official. Scarlett was spotted wearing a simple gold band on that finger yesterday, E! News reports, while she was out and about in New York City. The bauble accents the engagement ring Colin proposed with, which is a pear-shaped brown diamond on a curved black band, People previously stated.
As for their wedding day? Meals on Wheels, a foundation close to the duo's hearts, actually broke the news that they had tied the knot. "We're thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC. Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. The couple first met on the set of Saturday Night Live in 2006, and as Jost recalled in his book, A Very Punchable Face: A Memoir, he thought she was "beautiful, smart, sweet, and intimidatingly sophisticated." He also realized that she was beyond her years, E! News previously reported. "She has just turned 20 and I was 23, but in terms of status and maturing she was here [holds hand above head] and I was here [holds hand one inch off ground]," he said. Scarlett also recalls their initial encounter fondly. "She claims that she remembers thinking I was 'cute,' but I know what I looked like and that's not the word I would have used. ('Shaggy' would have been generous. 'Slovenly,' more accurate)," Colin added.
Fast-forward to their relationship now: They are both on the same page and know that they have found their lifetime partner in one another. "Scarlett likes Colin's sarcasm and wit," an insider told People. "They share a love for acerbic humor and outrage at social issues gone bad. They have much in common."
