Joey and Tony
The wedding of Joey Tierney and Tony Schubert looked amazing and went off without a hitch. And why not? She's a fashion stylist and designer, and he's an event producer, after all. On September 10, 2011, they said "I do" along the Santa Barbara coastline. It was a memorable day and night filled with love, elegance, and plenty of panache.

Cocktail Hour
Joey and Tony chose the B's Knees as their signature drink. The libation was a play on the bride's nickname for Tony, "B," short for baby. A bar cart was stocked with moonshine, lemon juice, honey syrup, and watermelon lemonade, to serve two versions of the cocktail.

The Menu
The four-course meal, prepared by The Food Matters, began with an amuse bouche of seared tuna with avocado, watermelon, and jalapeno. An heirloom tomato salad topped with burrata, microgreens, and house-made basil oil followed. Next, a choice of three entrees: grilled filet mignon with peppercorn sauce, pommes puree, and carrot matchsticks; oven-roasted sea bass with artichoke caponata over sweet corn polenta; or butternut square tortelloni with asparagus and shaved Parmesan.

The Reception
It took four days to build the dining area, which rested atop the venue's polo field. It boasted a carpeted floor, tenting, lighting, walls, drapery, lounge areas, and topiaries.
Vintage green glass bottles housed hydrangeas, spider mums, sedum, green figs, and dianthus, while antique mirrored boxes showcased white dahlias and lisianthus. Succulents and candles in gold mercury-glass votives also dotted the tables, which were covered in natural linen and surrounded by leather chairs.
