Wedding Colors: Lavender and Red
Bridesmaid and Flower Girl Dresses
Your bridesmaids will be eternally grateful if you choose frocks they can wear for years to come. To make these chic, simple dresses wedding-day-ready, just adorn them with ribbons, fabric blooms, and brightly colored shoes. Let attendants choose their own styles, or have them all wear the same dress with sashes in different patterns.

Lavender and Red Stationery
Engraving, the most traditional printing method for wedding invitations, gets a colorful update when rendered in red ink and scrolled diagonally across a violet card. We had an engraver make this set with calligraphed letters on thick card stock. A marbleized paper liner mimics the swooping script; a mini card and envelope offer a diminutive take on a reception card; and vintage stamps complete the suite.
Present your female attendants with super-soft pashmina scarves, LaPurse.
Pocket Squares and Handkerchiefs
Delicate handkerchiefs embroidered with their names or initials in cherry-red thread make another elegant gift. Groomsmen will look sharp with crisp pocket squares made from red-hemmed herringbone and windowpane-check shirting.
Continue the color scheme with boutonnieres made with (clockwise from top right): carnations and dianthus, a Dutch rose with hypericum berries, wax flowers, and scabiosa with wax flowers; trim with ribbon, then fasten with scarlet-tipped pins.
Chocolate Bar Favors
You can play out your palette in even the tiniest of details -- try store-bought chocolate bars wrapped in pretty paper. Chocolate bars, Miette Confiserie.
Lavender-frosted cupcakes dusted with red sprinkles and candy hearts are adorable. Cupcakes, Baked NYC.
