Bride-to-be Tara Foley decided to fly out to visit her 102-year-old grandmother, Stasia, after learning that she wouldn't be able to make the trip for her granddaughter's upcoming nuptials. Since Stasia wouldn't be able to celebrate in person, Tara wanted to help her take part in the festivities in a meaningful way. So, during her visit, the bride put on her wedding dress for a secret photo shoot with her grandma, KSAT ABC 12 reports.

Sadly, Stasia passed away shortly before the actual wedding day. To honor her late grandmother, the bride had a few of the portraits from their photo shoot printed; she shared the images with her immediate family on the morning of the big day, while everyone was getting ready.

Wedding photographer Misty McLendon captured the emotional moment as the bride revealed the amazing photographs to her family. Upon posting the images on Facebook, the photographer's post went viral (43,000 people have since shared the heartwarming story). "It's truly a special thing to be able to be a part of people's biggest and more precious moments," McLendon told KSAT ABC 12.

McLendon summed up the moment on Facebook, writing, "A real wedding moment here. The bride's grandmother was 102 years old and traveled by herself up until then! The bride found out that her grandmother wouldn't be able to fly anymore, so she flew to her grandmother, got dolled up in her wedding dress and did a photo shoot with her. Shortly after, her grandmother passed away. Tara kept the shoot a secret and surprised her mom, dad, brother, and sister-in-law with the picture of them together on her wedding day."
