Billy Ray Cyrus Wants to Officiate Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's Wedding!
The country singer hinted at the idea during an appearance on the Today show.
While promoting his new CMT show Still The King on the Today show, Billy Ray Cyrus may have given a little bit away about his daughter's relationship with Liam Hemsworth. "They're really happy together right now," Billy Ray said of the fan-favorite couple. "They know if they need a preacher, they've found one," he joked, referring to his role on the new show, where his character pretends to be a pastor. "My grandfather was a Pentecostal preacher," he said, so clearly the job runs in the family.
While wedding plans haven't been confirmed (or denied!) by the couple, a source revealed to US Weekly that they want to tie the knot in Hemsworth's home country of Australia. Cyrus and her beau first got engaged back in June of 2012, after dating on-and-off for three years, and ultimately called off the engagement in September 2013. But for all the Miley-Liam shippers out there, hope rose again when Miley visited Liam in Australia for New Year's Eve 2016 and started wearing her engagement ring again soon after.
The status of their relationship has been a little unclear, with Hemsworth denying any sort of engagement to TV Week Australia in April, but told GQ in May that, "people will figure it out. They already have. …They're not dumb." What does it mean, Liam?! Personally, we're hearing wedding bells.
