Jelly Bean Jewel Box Cake
The subtle shine and diminutive shape of jelly beans remind us of colorful gems. So we arranged them into necklacelike garlands that appear to hang along the curves of three petal-shaped fondant-covered tiers.
Nonpareil Tower Cake
The sophisticated graphic design on this dramatic cake was fashioned from different sizes of chocolate nonpareils. A combination of round and square tiers extends the cake's architectural interest.
Peppermint Fantasy Cake
This red, white, and pink confection would be perfect at a snowy winter wedding. We displayed our whimsical cake among an enchanted forest of peppermint topiaries.
White Candy Windfall Cake
The subtle sparkle of white sweets lends this cake a romantic feeling. A melange of shimmering rock candy, gumdrops, almond drages, and wafers is scattered across the tiers of this sugar-dusted cake. A candy dish cake topper -- made of barley candy -- completes the look.
Black Lace Licorice Cake
This chic confection features black lace licorice wrapped around pristine tiers covered in fondant. The elegant black and white color scheme and pretty bows call to mind fashionable hat boxes.
Chocolate Sampler Cake
A chocolate sampler inspired this cake. Ribbons trim the cake board, while the the cake itself mimics a chocolate box with its bands of tempered white chocolate piped with royal icing. Hand-molded truffles by Christopher Norman Chocolates line the tiers.
Truffle Tower Cake
This mesmerizing tower is inspired by the croquembouche, the traditional French wedding cake. Instead of pastries, we affixed chocolate truffles -- rolled in assorted cocoa powders from the United States, France, and Holland -- to the outside of a yellow butter cake filled and frosted with a dense, dark ganache.
Chocolate Turtle Cake
Declare your love for chocolate with five tiers of dense double-chocolate brownies, glazed with caramel and trimmed with candied pecan turtles. A scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect accompaniment.
Pastry Box Cake
This cake was modeled on Fauchon's monogrammed pink pastry boxes, or boites roses. To mimic the color of the boxes, we used tinted white chocolate, and the cake itself is vanilla sponge with strawberry syrup and mousse. To complete the illusion, almond macaroons in raspberry, chocolate, pistachio, and passion fruit are piled on and around the tiers.
Mini Cupcake Cake
Surrender yourself to sugar: Miniature chocolate and vanilla cupcakes line the white-fondant tiers of this playful cake. Brown- and pink-hued paper flags bearing the newlyweds' names wave from the cupcake perched on top.
