Jenny Packham is globally recognized as one of the most successful independent fashion brands stemming from the United Kingdom, and her signature bridal style has been reigning since 1988. Just last year, Packham brought her talent to David's Bridal, collaborating on a new exclusive line, Wonder, that makes her gowns available to a wider range of brides. This year's Spring 2017 collection is inspired by Elizabeth Taylor, bringing the iconic Hollywood star's style and sensibility to the wedding dress retailer. Taylor's opulence and effervescence are sprinkled throughout, as are designs influenced by her eclectic collection of jewelry.
Packham describes the latest looks as "desirable romantic, and feminine." Among the designs is plenty of intricate and vintage-inspired beading—two dresses alone feature over 600 hand-sewn crystals and embellishments combined! If you're looking for careful construction, look no further, because each dress took time (almost a full week, in one case) and energy to perfect. Between delicate floral lace appliqués, crystal embellishment motifs, and innovative designs modeled after vintage finds, gown after gown is made to impress. The Wonder by Jenny Packham bride is both elegant and modern, and these relaxed, unstructured dresses are sure to fit her needs. The best place to wear them? At an outdoor wedding, says Packham, "surrounded by rolling fields and open plains, bathed in hazy summer sun."
