Tiffany and Nic

As a jewelry design director, Tiffany Bausch conceives original styles daily, and her serendipitous introduction to her now-husband Nicholas was so perfectly crafty that you'd think she schemed the whole thing from sketch to reality. But all she did was strike up a conversation ("incredibly uncharacteristic of me," Tiffany promises) with the cute boy across the bar, and that was it.

Except it wasn't that simple. At the time, Tiffany lived in Denver and was in New York on business when she met Nic Weld, a commercial real-estate broker. The evening may have ended, but their conversation did not: The two dated long-distance for one year before moving in together in Brooklyn. Four months later, the two were engaged, and four months after that, on February 22, 2014, they said their I do's before 138 guests at Devil's Thumb Ranch in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.

The matrons of honor -- her sisters -- wore sapphire, while the other attendants wore emerald. All kept warm against Colorado's February chill with vintage fur stoles.

The bride put her artistry to work to design the ceremony programs complete with a custom crest that topped the page. The couple searched for the simplest gold bands they could find, but Tiffany, who's in the jewelry biz, ultimately asked one of her craftsmen to fashion the two rings pictured here.

The couple gifted Tiffany's nephews (ages 2 through 8) these instruments for Christmas two months earlier, so the attendants could practice and really make some noise in celebration of the nuptials. Later, they fittingly dubbed this adorable crew "the ring bearer band" because they paraded down the aisle.
