How to Steal Chrissy Teigen's Glam Beauty Look on Your Wedding Day
We turned to one of Hollywood's most glamorous stars for big-day beauty inspiration. See how our makeup artists turned Teigen's red carpet look into something wedding worthy.
Chrissy Teigen may be known for her rock-solid marriage and candid humor, but she's also famous for her must-copy beauty looks. Since the model usually opts for natural, beachy styles, it's no surprise that brides frequently turn to her for pretty hair and makeup inspiration. Every now and then, though, Teigen switches it up with bold pops of color. With the right touch, it's simple to adapt her more dramatic looks for the aisle, too. We asked our friends at Facetime Beauty to help us do just that, using the model's 2015 Academy Awards beauty look as our guide.
If you're a fan of vintage Hollywood glam, you know exactly what we're talking about. With winged eyeliner and a dark red lip, the star's red carpet makeup was timeless. Teigen's hair also paid homage to the past, with a subtle wave at the crown and contemporary finger curls. For the Facetime Beauty team, adapting the look for the aisle was a welcome challenge.
The strategy? Subtly toning everything down. The makeup artists replaced Teigen's brown smoky eye with metallic pearl and peach hues, instantly making the look feel more bridal. For the lips, they swapping the vampy plum for a classic red shade kept things fresh and youthful.
As for the hair, the Facetime Beauty team used a one-inch curling iron to create tight ringlets before brushing them out for something more effortless. A bit of hairspray to hold the voluminous wave on top and a sparkly Gabriella New York hair clip completed the look.
Watch the entire look come to life above, and stay tuned for more celebrity-inspired beauty looks from our brand-new First Look series.
