You Have to See Miranda Kerr's Dreamy Wedding Dress
Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel wed quietly in May. The celebration-hosting under 50 guests-was held at the couple's home. Now, Vogue is spilling on the high-profile wedding, including everything we'd ever hoped to know about Kerr's custom Dior dress. The beautiful bride was inspired by Grace Kelly, and that's just a taste of the big-day's incredible details.
"A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery," shared Kerr of picking her wedding gown. "I've had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel." The model turned to Dior's new artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, for help designing the dress. Out of their genius came the final look-a long-sleeved, simply-accented dream. Appliquéd lilies were added sparingly to the satin number; meanwhile, Spiegel wore a Dior morning suit.
Have you caught your breath yet? Now, for the rest of the wedding. Vogue shares that there wasn't a bridal party, but that Kerr's son Flynn was the wedding ring bearer. He wore a navy Dior suit, and a lily-of-the-valley boutonniere to match his mom. To keep the wedding private, a white canopy stood above the ceremony, and even posts on Spiegel's platform, Snapchat, were banned from the proceedings. Kerr entered to Arvo Pärt's "Spiegel im Spiegel"-a pretty song with a nod to her new name.
The entire event was low-key and emotional, with plenty of intimacy between the bride and groom. Before tying the knot, they did yoga together, and Kerr even cooked her husband a special meal-one that her caterer copied for her guests. For the reception, guests sang karaoke, and Kerr changed into a shorter Dior dress.
It's safe to say their marriage was fit for a fairytale, from the classy details to the timeless, stunning fashion.
