Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum Spent Their Anniversary in the Woods
They even brought daughter Everly along!
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. Rather than settle on dinner and drinks, they acknowledged the occasion in a unique way. The couple, along with their four-year-old daughter Everly, took to the woods for an off-the-grid trip.
Dewan Tatum dished on the anniversary festivities during an apperance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. "I call [him] Bear Grylls," she said of her hubby, adding, "He really loves being outdoors." In honor of her spouse's interest in nature, the couple planned a getaway at a "wilderness camp." While she did disclose that the location was hard to find-it was "in the middle of nowhere in Michigan"-she didn't go much further, only adding to the intrigue. "I can't even tell you where it was because that's part of the deal. If you tell anyone, you can never come back. There's no address, there's no Wi-Fi, there's no service. There's, like, one little internet cabin," she revealed.
But don't worry-despite popular belief, the couple's not completely perfect! Even while together as a happy family, they struggled with disconnecting from technology. "The first day, you're fiending. You're like, 'I need to know my emails!'" Dewan Tatum shared. "And then one day, I was like, 'I'm going to go take a walk,' and Chan was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to take a walk, too,'" she admitted. "We ended up at the internet café. I was like, 'I know where you were. I see you!'" It looks like the dancer took some time to post on Instagram, sharing snapshots from the great outdoors.
Nonetheless, the stars had a great time, as did their little girl. "She loved it!" Dewan Tatum shared, adding that Everly engaged in all the typical camp activities, including fishing, sailing, and making s'mores.
