Here Are Derek Hough's Big Plans for Sister Julianne's Wedding Day
Julianne Hough and fiancé Brooks Laich are getting ready to walk down the aisle-and it looks like big brother Derek Hough has his own set of plans for the couple's big day. The first item on the professional dancer's list? Making sure the music selections are everything they should be for a wedding that will surely include plenty of time on the dance floor.
"You know who I want to get?" Derek said, according to People, after admitting he still needs to pick up a wedding gift for the engaged couple. "Michael Bublé. I mean he won't. He can't possible go, but it'd be amazing if he sort of rose from the ground and was like 'Hello!' and started singing!"
The performer, who is now busy on the siblings' MOVE Beyond tour, did open up with a more serious observation about the upcoming wedding. "I'm kind of a sap. I grew up with all sisters so I'm in touch with that part of myself. I'm an emotional guy, so I'm probably gonna get teary-eyed," he said, then honed in on his relationship with Julianne in particular. "I'm close with her, so watching her walk down the aisle, it's going to get me." How cute is that?!
Meanwhile, Julianne is make her own pre-wedding statements-namely that she's pretty crazy about soon-to-be husband Laich. The Dancing with the Stars judge and her pro hockey player fiancé headed out for a date night and the bride-to-be didn't waste any time reposting a sweet snap of the duo Laich had already shared to her own Instagram account.
"I am completely and utterly madly in love with you!" Julianne wrote in the caption. "My best friend, my hero, my everything! Best date night ever!" Laich's original post was equally cute, reading "Date night with this button!" After that amazing bachelorette party Julianne enjoyed earlier this year, we can't wait to see what kind of details pop up in the couple's wedding later this summer!
