Jessica Biel Didn't Like or Listen to NSYNC Growing Up—and Didn't Own Any of Justin Timberlake's CDs
It's safe to say that her opinion of her husband's work has officially changed.
Jessica Biel may be Justin Timberlake's biggest fan today, but this wasn't always the case. E! News recently unearthed a video interview from 1999, which shows the actress talking about her now-husband's then-band, NSYNC. The young Biels' take on the iconic group? They weren't really on her radar.
"To be honest, I don't really listen," she said of NSYNC's music at the time. "I know of them, of course, and I've heard of them, and I've heard the music." She then added that she didn't "own any of their CDs" and that she didn't consider herself a "huge fan." "But, I mean, cool I guess," she said, referencing the band's stardom.
Today, Biel couldn't have a more different opinion. A regular at her husband's concerts, the The Sinner actress has always been vocal about how proud she is of Timberlake's talent and commitment to his work. Just before the singer's most recent tour's final performance, Biel posted an emotional tribute on Instagram, proving this: "Hey Tennessee kid, I'm being quiet because you're in the next room. It's your last show, it's the last Man of the Woods show tonight. I would say that I'm so proud of you, but I feel like that's the understatement of the century and that somehow that I take ownership to what you've done this past year-and-a-half."
She continued, "I'm just in absolute awe of you every night to see you up there in your glory doing what you've been put on this Earth to do," before adding that Timberlake inspires both herself and their son, Silas. "You inspire everyone around you. All of your fans, all of your friends and family to work as hard and with so much passion as you do. You are truly a sight to behold," Biel said. "I'm so happy that you're going to get some time off. I'm so happy for you and for us."
