Exclusive: Get a Closer Look at Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli's Palm Springs Wedding
Orange Is the New Black's Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli were married in Palm Springs this past weekend, and after sharing their first exclusive wedding photo with Martha Stewart Weddings, the couple is giving us another adorable look into their big day. Brad Walsh, husband of Christian Siriano, who designed both Samira and Lauren's bridal attire (check out the exclusive sketches below!), snapped this adorable photo of the newlyweds.
With the picturesque landscape of Palm Springs behind them, the couple posed for portraits after exchanging vows in an outdoor ceremony officiated by Samira's parents. We can't get enough of how happy Samira and Lauren, who announced their engagement on Instagram in October, both look here!
After their portrait session, the couple made their grand entrance to the reception, planned and designed by Beth Helmstetter Events, to Justin Bieber's "Baby."
The newlyweds were all smiles on the big day, and those happy faces didn't disappear once the reception ended. Both Samira and Lauren shared their first official portrait, above, captured by Jose Villa for Martha Stewart Weddings, on Instagram. Lauren wrote, "Wifey for Lifey," while Samira captioned her picture, "#aboutlastnight."
And the good cheer didn't end there! Yesterday both brides posted photos with colorful parasols to their respective social media accounts. While Samira wrote, "#wifed," Lauren captioned her boomerang, "Here's 1/100th of how excited we are today." These two just keep getting cuter and cuter!
The newlyweds are celebrating their milestone by jetting off on a honeymoon, but by the looks of this photo, Samira and Lauren squeezed in sometime to celebrate with the company of their closest friends, too. Here, Samira and Brad enjoy a late-night swim. That sounds like the perfect way to kick off married life to us!
