After about a year of getting to know each other at parties and group outings, the pair officially began dating. Five years later, on December 16, 2016, Paige and Matt were traveling through Hawaii and decided to hike to a black sand beach at Waipio Valley on the Big Island. Once they finally reached the beach, they were covered in mud, and decided to find a secluded spot to sit down and have a picnic. Overlooking the surf, Matt began reflecting on the couple's relationship. "I had a moment where I realized it was happening," Paige says, "He asked me to close my eyes and when I opened them, he was still next to me, but was holding a little ring box. Saying yes was completely exciting and infinitely easy." The couple spent the next year-and-a-half planning their flower-filled July 21, 2018, outdoor wedding at DeLille Cellars Chateau in Woodinville, Washington, just north of Seattle. With help from their day-of coordinator from Invisible Hostess, the couple invited 105 guests to share in their deeply personal, intimate wedding celebrating their relationship. Although they didn't select a specific color scheme for the day, they incorporated tons of flowers into the décor landscape while embracing the natural elements of the winery, including trees, ponds, and even alpacas. Following their nuptials, the couple took off on their three-week honeymoon to France. 01 of 20 The Invitation Suite Maria Lamb Photography Paige was drawn to Euni + Co's modern and clean calligraphy after coming across their Instagram page; the couple worked closely with the team to design simple, modern invitations, RSVP cards, and escort cards. 30 Modern Wedding Invitations We Love 02 of 20 Bride's Look Maria Lamb Photography Paige accomplished something most brides only dream of: She found her wedding dress at her very first appointment. The "Belmont" gown by Sarah Seven, a crepe V-neck number with side cut-outs, was the third ensemble she tried on; just over an hour later, it was ordered. "I knew from the beginning that I wanted something simple, contemporary, and clean that I'd still love in our photos 20 years from now," Paige says. "I felt wonderful in that dress and danced for hours in it!" 03 of 20 The Accessories Maria Lamb Photography Matt bought Paige blue David Yurman earrings for her "something new" and "something blue." She paired her earrings with nude Stuart Weitzman heels and a Sara Gabriel veil to complete her look. Unique Ideas for Your "Something Blue" 04 of 20 The Bouquet Maria Lamb Photography Paige had a vision of textural, loose, and non-traditional flowers for both her bouquet and wedding décor. She teamed up with Wild Bloom, who she trusted to achieve her vision—their team absolutely delivered. The bride "burst into tears" when she first saw her clutch. "It was just so perfect for me," Paige says. The bouquet featured lush blooms in shades of white, ivory, golden peach, burgundy, pink, and green; the stems were wrapped in ribbon. 05 of 20 The Groom's Look Maria Lamb Photography When Paige and Matt were visiting his brother in Los Angeles, Matt decided to book an appointment at Indochino to look for a wedding suit. He chose a blue three-piece ensemble with a ticket pocket and a slanted breast pocket. For a special touch, the inside of the jacket was embroidered with the couple's initials and wedding date. "I wanted the look of a formal suit with a color that would make it slightly more casual," Matt says. "The white thread running through the blue suit lightened it up and matched the tone of the setting." 06 of 20 The Groom's Finishing Touches Maria Lamb Photography Matt accessorized his wedding day look with a burgundy tie and white-and-maroon pocket square from The Tie Bar, a Rolex watch, and Ted Baker oxfords with blue laces. 07 of 20 The Bridesmaids Maria Lamb Photography Each bridesmaid wore a white French Connection fit-and-flare dress with mesh inserts. "To be honest, it may have been the adorable alpacas they also have on their property that truly sold me," Paige admits. 10 of 20 The First Look Maria Lamb Photography The first time Matt saw Paige on the wedding day is the memory that stands out for him the most. "Our photographers led me to a pond that was down a small trail from our ceremony site. I was so excited to see her that I had a hard time standing still," he says. "When I finally turned around and saw her, I was dumbstruck. I knew that she and the dress would be beautiful, but she was absolutely radiant." The couple took advantage of the calm before the storm and walked over to see the ceremony site before guests arrived, sharing a few words about their excitement to finally tie the knot. This couple saw the ceremony as an opportunity to invite their guests into their relationship and share their story. They worked closely with their officiant, Arissa Rench, who asked them to answer questions about their relationship separately so that she could incorporate their words into the service. "Whenever anyone talks about our wedding, the first thing they mention is our ceremony and how personal it was," the bride shares. "Hearing all the beautiful things Matt shared about our relationship and watching his face light up as I said my vows was the most beautiful thing in the world." 59 Wedding Arches That Will Instantly Upgrade Your Ceremony 13 of 20 The Cocktail Hour Maria Lamb Photography The cocktail hour took place under a gazebo on the property, where guests had access to a full bar, along with DeLille wine; passed appetizers including avocado toast with compressed fennel, crispy risotto bites, and salmon BLT sliders on brioche buns were also served. 14 of 20 The Reception Tent Setup Maria Lamb Photography Paige and Matt spent hours together finding rentals from Cort to fill their draped white reception tent.
