Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski's Wedding Won't Be a "Big Production"
Thomas Sadoski has a lot to look forward to these days. The actor, who is engaged to Amanda Seyfried and expecting his first child with her, sat down with Harry Connick Jr. on Friday's Harry episode to discuss the big changes happening in his life. But even with an incoming baby and upcoming wedding on the horizon, the dad-and-hubby-to-be kept it cool and was utterly sweet about his fiancée.
When asked about preparing for fatherhood, Sadoski was all smiles. "You know what man, I'm more excited to be a father, with Amanda as my partner, than I've ever been about anything in my entire life," he shared (cue a chorus of awws).
"I spend a lot of my time looking at this bump that's growing inside of her and just thinking, like, looking and talking to that child and going 'You have no idea how lucky you are to have a mom like this,'" he told Connick Jr., adding, "She's incredible, you know? I just, you know, I couldn't be more proud of her for who she is as a mom already."
But Sadoski's calm demeanor wasn't entirely reflective of his internal emotions. The couple, who got engaged last September, have a lot on their plates moving forward. Understandably, he's been experiencing all the feels.
"I'm excited. I'm also terrified. I'm not going to sit here and pretend like I'm cool enough to believe that I understand what's getting ready to happen to me," he admitted. "I don't know what's coming down the pipe, but I'm thrilled and terrified and all the things I sort of feel like I should be, and I don't have any clue what's going to happen, and I can't wait," he continued.
Connick Jr. then mentioned the parallels between Sadoski's on-screen and off-screen lives, where both he and his Life in Pieces character are planning weddings. "Is one informing the other?" he asked, to which Sadoski responded, "Thankfully, no."
"On the show, Matt and Colleen are going through a, sort of, hard time 'cause Colleen wants a big production of a wedding, and I'm really glad that I'm getting that all out in make-believe land, and not in my real life," he confessed.
"Amanda and I are both really low-key and we don't want a big, huge deal or anything," Sadoski then explained. "We want to make sure it's about us and it's quiet and comfortable and family and friends."
While there's no word yet on the wedding date, at least we have a hint that the celebration will be intimate.
