Jennifer Lawrence is finally opening up about why she said "yes" to her fiancé Cooke Maroney. At the premiere of her new movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the actress told Entertainment Tonight how she knew he was "the one."

According to the actress, choosing Maroney as her partner in life was simple. "Well, he's just the best person I've ever met in my whole life," Lawrence told the outlet. "It was a very, very easy decision."

Rumors of an engagement started swirling in Febuary after Lawrence was spotted with a massive diamond ring on her finger. Although not much is known about the couple's wedding plans, Lawrence did give us a sneak peek at what she might look like in a wedding dress. For her May engagement party in New York City, the actress wore a L. Wells Bridal gown with a plunging neckline and long sleeves.

Since Lawrence and Maroney are so private, we aren't quite sure when or where their wedding will take place. However, a source recently told People that, since Lawrence is a "family girl," "I would be surprised if the wedding were not a fairly extensive family affair." No matter when the big day happens, it's clear that Lawrence can't wait to call Maroney her husband. "He's a great guy," a source told People in February. "He's smart and funny and I think really keeps her on her toes and he doesn't treat her like a celebrity like the other boyfriends did. He's definitely the coolest guy she's dated. [He's] not affected by Hollywood."
