Viola Davis and Julius Tennon Renewed Their Vows Because They Love Each Other That Much
The How to Get Away With Murder star and her actor husband said "I do"—again—in an elegant ceremony over Valentine's Day Weekend.
After 12 happy years of marriage, Viola Davis and her husband Julius Tennon would still choose each other. And to prove it, the two renewed their vows on Valentine's Day eve in front of family and friends.
The bride, her mother, and her daughter, four-year-old daughter and flower girl, Genesis, all wore white Carmen Marc Valvo dresses.
The elegant ceremony and reception was coordinated by Yingka Chou of Master Plans Events & Designs and featured white flowers and décor.
Postwedding, Davis shared an Instagram photo of her and the hubby in their coordinating white outfits, with the caption, "'We are most alive when we're in love' –John Updike." If that's not enough to make you swoon, in a speech to her guests, which Davis posted on Facebook, she said, "I really feel alive. This really makes a life. If I had to look back on my life, this is the moment that would play out and I would think, 'Well done.'"
Tennon's response? "Viola, you've been amazing. She teaches me every day how to man up, how to agree to disagree but let's get it done, don't let the sun go down on your anger."
Among the many guests at the ceremony were a couple of HTGAWM cast members including Matt McGorry, Jack Falahee, and Karla Souza. For favors, everyone went home with good hYOUman apparel and beauty products from philosophy, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and Milenia's Boutique.
