This Couple's Engagement Shoot Was Inspired by Barack and Michelle Obama
The photos turned out so gorgeous.
Looking for a fresh idea for your engagement photos? A Cleveland couple may have happened upon a new source of engagement ideas: Barack and Michelle Obama. Bride-to-be Cassi Pittman and her fiancé Adam included a little First Couple-inspired romance in their shoot, and the results are nothing short of stunning.
According to People, the pair's wedding planner, Covesa Kella, and their photographer, Natasha Herbert, said they originally intended to include only one Obama-inspired image but that the ideas just kept flowing. "I miss the Obama's SO much that when our bride and groom said 'Can we try and duplicate one of their famous shots for our engagement pics?' I was like let's do an entire shoot-we can do this and this and THIS!" Kelly explained in an Instagram gallery featuring three adorable images.
"Because we miss them so much," photographer Herbert said in her own post, which also featured photos of the engaged couple paired up with the images of Barack and Michelle Obama that matched. So, which photos did Cassi and Adam opt to recreate? The Obamas' October 2016 ESSENCE cover photo made the cut, as did their quick embrace before the March 2009 National Newspaper Publishers Associated reception. The soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Also included a post that mimicked one captured of the Obamas' while taping for the 2015 World Expo.
"They have a love that just shines," the bride-to-be shared. "And we wanted to capture that love in our photos." The couple is planning a December wedding. Congrats, you two!
