Go Inside the Hotels Where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Will Stay Before Their Wedding
Their luxurious stays come with quite the price tag.
As expected, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won't be spending the night before the royal wedding in their shared home or anywhere in Kensington Palace, but that doesn't mean their pre-nuptial accommodations will leave them wanting for luxury. According to royal expert Omid Scobie, the bride and groom will enjoy their last unmarried evenings at two separate hotels in Windsor-and both five-star stays come with a hefty nightly price tag.
"#RoyalWedding news! The night before their wedding, #HarryandMeghan will stay at separate hotels around Windsor: Harry will stay at the @CoworthParkUK with Prince William. Meghan and mom Doria Ragland will stay at @Cliveden_House on the National Trust's Cliveden Estate," he wrote in a tweet. Their rooms will set the royal family back at least $900, as nightly rates at both properties begin at $450. Still, we have a feeling the future Mr. and Mrs. will end up in suites that far exceed this base price.
As you'd expect, Coworth Park and Cliveden Estate, both of which are close to Windsor Castle, the couple's wedding venue, are exceptionally luxurious. Meghan can enjoy her hotel's exceptional spa or dine at an award-winning restaurant while Harry could plan to a pre-ceremony game of polo at his. While we're not yet sure-and probably won't ever know-how the royal couple will occupy themselves on the eve of the wedding, it's unlikely that it'll be all that eventful. As Scobie reported, Markle will spend the night at Cliveden House (in the above Prince of Wales Suite, perhaps?) with her mother, who will then accompany her to the ceremony site on the morning of the wedding in one of the Queen's cars.
A Kensington Palace press release previously reported that Harry and William would walk to St. George's Chapel ahead of the service. Considering the fact that Coworth Park (pictured above) is a whopping nine miles from Windsor Castle, that now seems unlikely. If Scobie's location predications are correct, expect to get your first glimpse of the groom and his best man in a car (just like the bride-to-be) on May 19.
