Low Braided Hairstyle
As Seen At: Marchesa
The Inspiration: Kevin Hughes for Moroccanoil created a low, romantic braided style that showed off Marchesa's dreamlike collection.
Low Braided Hairstyle How-To
Get the Look: To create the perfect styling foundation, prep damp hair with a dime size amount Moroccanoil Treatment for manageability and long-lasting shine. For fine hair, use Moroccanoil Treatment Light. Create a deep center part using Moroccanoil Boar Bristle Paddle Brush and apply Moroccanoil Thickening Lotion from root to tip. Next, spray an even amount of Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection and blow dry straight using Moroccanoil Ceramic Hair Dryer. Once hair is dry, spray an even amount of Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray to create gritty volume and hold. Brush through hair and begin creating a five-strand braid down the back of the head. Secure with a clear elastic. Fold the braid up into a chignon to hide ends and secure with hair pins. Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray for long-lasting hold.
Textured Messy Bun
As Seen At: Delphine Manivet
The Inspiration: Fabrice Gili for Fekkai, the lead stylist, was striving for "soft [strands], like the bride could do it herself … For a modern, romantic bride but the style still has a cool urban feel."
Textured Messy Bun How-To
Get the Look: Start by applying a dime-size amount of Fekkai Blowout Texturizer from root to tip to hair before blow-drying to achieve fullness. Rough dry hair with fingers to keep texture throughout. Spritz Fekkai Soleil Beach Waves Tousling Spray all over for an undone look. Use a 1-inch curling randomly throughout for extra texture. Pull and loop hair into a low chignon at the nape of neck and affix with elastic. A few loose pieces and flyaways are perfect to keep the look understated. Pin with bobby pins as needed. Spray Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray all over for easy hold.
As Seen At: Monique Lhuillier
The Inspiration: For Monique Lhuillier's nymph-like collection, Kevin Hughes for Moroccanoil created effortless, yet structured waves.
Structured Waves How-To
Get the Look: To create the perfect styling foundation, prep damp hair with a dime size amount Moroccanoil Treatment for soft texture and long-lasting shine. For fine hair, use Moroccanoil Treatment Light. Apply Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream from root to tip and follow by blow drying hair with Moroccanoil Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Dryer. Create a deep center part using Moroccanoil Boar Bristle Paddle Brush and separate hair into even sections. Mist an even amount of Moroccanoil Heat Styling Protection to protect hair from breakage. Wrap each section around a 1 1/4-inch barrel curling iron leaving the ends loose to create a gentle bend. Next, spray Moroccanoil Dry Texture Spray for volume and touchable texture. Piece out the ends using Moroccanoil Texture Clay to add definition. Spray Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray over every inch of hair to ensure long-lasting hold. To finish the look, place a delicate headband an inch behind the hairline and gently pull sections from the front to tuck behind the band.
As Seen At: Oscar de la Renta
The Inspiration: Lead stylist Hos Hounkpatin for Fekkai wanted an "elegant, but not too severe" style to complement Oscar de la Renta's sophisticated designs. "The flyaways in the front give the look a sense of softness," he said.
Classic Bun How-To
Get the Look: Start by applying a golf ball size amount of Fekkai Full Blown Volume Lightweight Styling Whip to dry hair from root to tip for texture. Pull hair into a mid-height ponytail and affix with elastic. Spritz Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist around crown of the head for a boost of shine. Wrap and loop ponytail around elastic and affix with bobby pins. Pull pieces to frame face and create a whimsical look. Finish with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray all over for easy hold.
As Seen At: Angel Sanchez
The Inspiration: "The whole idea behind the look was to mix the beauty of a very '50s era-inspired chignon, with the edge and freshness of the very '90s wet look," said Jordi Martinez for Fekkai, the lead stylist at the show.
Chic Chignon How-To
Get the Look: Start by separating front of hair from side sections. Blow out section by section, emphasizing volume. Set with pins. Then, create the chignon at mid-height. Keep roots 40% wet. Mix Fekkai Blowout Texturizer with Fekkai Essential Shea Pot de Crème and apply with a comb on dry hair to preserve volume. Place front and side sections on top of the chignon. Set with comb and fingers. Finish with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray—spray close to the hair for a sleek wet look. Spritz Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist all over as a finisher for extra shine.
