But will she be the maid of honor?
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian

Just months after learning that Serena Williams is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, the tennis pro's older sister Venus is dishing on the couple's nuptials-including what role she'll play in the big day.

Why Serena Williams Isn't Planning Her Wedding to Alexis Ohanian Just Yet

"I am so excited for Serena," Venus told People earlier this week. "She is so prolific the court, but now I am happy to watch her prepare for her wedding!" Serena announced her engagement in December with a post on Reddit-a fitting tribute to her husband-to-be-but told outlets she likely wouldn't start thinking about the wedding until her busy tennis schedule slowed down. "I really haven't thought about it too much, because I wasn't even really gonna think about it until after the tournament," Serena said in January during the Australian Open. "So, I just keep saying, 'February, I'll start looking at the bigger picture of my life.' But right now I'm just so focused that this is all I can think about."

But now we're nearly through March and Serena continues to stay tight-lipped about any impending plans. In fact, she's even keeping her sister in the dark! "We are not sure what is happening with who is doing what yet," Venus says. "You know there are a lot of sisters in our family! But I am looking forward to doing whatever Serena asks."

One thing is for sure: Serena's big sis is thrilled to welcome Alexis as her future brother-in-law, calling him a "super nice guy." "You never know how the things are going to end," she told USA Today in January. "In this case, it's not gonna end, so it's great."

While Serena might not be sharing any wedding plans publicly just yet, it's clear that the proposal is still on her mind. The elated bride-to-be just shared three photos from the day Alexis popped the question on Instagram, captioning the collection, "#tbt to 'the day.'" A poolside proposal in Rome with red rose petals everywhere? Alexis, you did good.
