Meredith Stoecklein, the designer behind the label Lein, offers the bridal industry something different. Marketed as ready-to-wear designs that cater to a woman who's getting married, her creations aren't just wedding dresses—they're appropriate for just about any pre-wedding event. Her motto? The life cycle of an exceptional outfit, even a bridal gown, should be more than one day. Enter her inspired, fresh, borderline-bohemian designs, that feel special—not just because of their exquisite craftsmanship or flattering design, but because of their versatility.
The Lein Fall 2018 collection was no exception. Stoecklein dug even deeper into the idea of bridal couture as ready-to-wear, which informed the entire range's aesthetic, she said in our pre-market interview. "We used traditional outerwear weight wool twill in more feminine styles, paired with cashmere lace detailing; mixing masculine elements with a femininity that is consistent with the Lein look," she explained. "For me, it's always about finding that perfect balance of strong and soft, giving our girl the versatility and wearability that allows her to feel like herself." Made with incredible laces from the label's Italian mill and blue-and-black cashmere lace that reminded Stoecklein of a crochet blanket from her family's ranch, these dresses prove that attention to detail can take wedding day fashions to new heights.
