Elie Saab Jr., the son of Lebanese fashion designer, Elie Saab, recently wed his girlfriend, Christina Mourad, in a lavish three-day celebration in the mountains of Lebanon. Over the course of the celebration, Mourad wore a total of four Elie Saab wedding dresses, two of which were custom-made for her by her new father-in-law. The Evening Standard reports that Christina didn't have any input in the design of the dresses, instead trusting Elie's creative direction and style. The bride's father-in-law designed her gown for the couple's traditional Lebanese wedding ceremony and a second for their reception dinner. For the welcome party and the after-party, Mourad donned looks from the label's Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2019/2020 collection.

Even though the couple got engaged after a mere three months of dating, their wedding was a year in the making, reports Yahoo. The bride told the outlet, "It all went very fast! We had no doubt we had found each other. Elie wanted to get married last year just after the proposal. It was too short in terms of organization; even to create my gown!" The two custom looks, especially, took time—each one involved "450 hours of embroidery, 150 hours of draping and volume creations, 80 hours of embroidery layout design, and 200 hours of tailoring."

The celebration began on July 18th with a welcome party, to which Christina wore a cream jumpsuit with a gold cape. On the 19th, the couple tied the knot in a "religious ceremony in Bkerki," according to the Evening Standard. Christina wore the first of her two custom looks to the ceremony—a sleeveless tulle embroidered gown made of ivory silk and champagne lurex threads, embellished with 500,000 sequins and a 14-foot-train, reports Yahoo: "Twelve embroiderers, three pattern-makers, six tailors, and 10 petites mains worked on the gown."

In the evening Christina changed into her second custom look for a reception at Faqra Club, which was attended by 1,200 guests. The corseted ball gown incorporated 100,000 gold sequins; she topped off her ornate ensemble with another veil. To finish out the celebration, the couple enjoyed an after-party at Mr. Saab's residence. There, Christina donned an aqua floor-length dress, embellished with a coral shaped brooch from the Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2019 collection.
