Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Finally Threw Their Second Wedding—See the First Photos
The couple, their families, and their famous friends gathered in South Carolina to celebrate the much-anticipated nuptials.
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber have officially tied the knot—again. Exactly a year after their secret courthouse wedding in New York City, the couple threw the larger, religious event they've been planning (and postponing) ever since. The start-and-stop lead-up to their second big day, however, was more than worth it. Set in Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina, Bieber and Baldwin's formal celebration was, as anticipated, the star-studded affair they (and their fans!) have always wanted, thanks to celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss.
On the big day, the couple exchanged religious vows in front of 154 guests at Somerset Chapel, reports People. Post-ceremony, the celebrants moved onto the cocktail hour before sitting down to their reception dinner; Grammy winner Daniel Caesar allegedly treated guests to a performance. According to Bieber's Instagram, there was also a photo booth; the groom shared a few snapshots of him and his wife kissing in front of the camera. Though we don't know exactly who or what Baldwin wore, her reception wedding dress had a high, halter-style neckline (not unlike Meghan Markle's own second gown!).
Bieber and Baldwin's wedding party consisted of the bride's sister, Alaia, and her cousin, Ireland; several members of Bieber's family stood beside him on the big day, as well. Unsurprisingly, the guest list was full of Hollywood's elite: Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner, Lauren Scruggs, Jason Kennedy, stylist Karla Welch, and Scooter Braun were notably in attendance. Many of Justin Bieber's pastor friends were also present: Carl Lentz, Rich Wilkerson Jr., and Judah Smith were spotted at the festivities.
The party actually kicked off on Sunday night, with a waterfront rehearsal dinner; the duo followed this up with a laid-back bowling get-together just before the main celebration. For the rehearsal dinner, the bride-to-be wore an ivory off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Couture mini dress made from eco-friendly silk, notes People. "The special mini dress was custom made especially for Hailey at the Vivienne Westwood London atelier," the brand said in a press release. The groom-to-be embraced the preppy Southern locale in a white Lacoste polo, black slacks, and boat shoes.
Rumors that the couple's second affair would take place on their first anniversary began swirling back in early August, when a People source confirmed that Baldwin was "working with a planner" to curate her and Bieber's September celebration. "They decided in May that they would get married in September, so they have been planning for a while," the insider added. Those rumors picked up steam when TMZ obtained a copy of their (fourth!) comic-themed save-the-date, inviting attendees to their repeat nuptials. Though their decision to throw the party in South Carolina came as a surprise (previous reports suggested that California or Bieber's native Canada were high on the duo's list), it wasn't out of the blue. Bieber and Baldwin vacationed in Palmetto Bluff shortly before the South Carolina venue speculation began.
