Darcy's Diary: Go Inside Martha Stewart's Annual Weddings Party in Chicago
This weekend we celebrated another great Wedding Party at The Radisson Blu in Chicago with our partners Claudia Hanlin of The Wedding Library and LoveBird Events. Whether you are getting married in Chicago and looking for great local vendors or just looking for some serious wedding inspiration-these photos will get your wheels turning! Thanks to everyone who attended and also made the date possible, and a huge thank you to the vendors that participated. Take a look at the event, and prepared to be inspired for your big day.
Here we have our special projects editor Anthony Luscia, Rebecca Lockward of The Wedding Library, Meghan Andalman of Lovebird Events, Claudia Hanlin of The Wedding Library, and myself. A huge thank you to these ladies for helping to put on this event!
Fleur Chicago designed this interactive inspiring wishing wall. Each flower had an inspiring message attached, and the guests would choose one and read the message while looking into the mirror.
How stunning is this cake? Elysia Root Cakes created this amazing wedding cake with a stained glass motif inspired by the floral arrangement that Fleur made. Your wedding cake and floral arrangements may seem like an unlikely pairing, but the color scheme translates so well!
Fleur created gorgeous tablescapes for guests to look at (and want!). The variety between the tall and short centerpieces add depth to the table, along with the candles that add a romantic vibe.
Alliance Bakery created this whimsical marbled wedding cake, complete with flowers.
During the event, I had a book signing for Martha Stewart Weddings: Ideas and Inspiration. I loved meeting readers and discussing their upcoming wedding days.
It's not a party without a drink! The Radisson Blu showed how to create a signature cocktail that's personal to you and your fiancé. That pink is bright and great for summer weddings.
If you have a bridal shower or bachelorette party coming up-you need this cake topper!
Spin Spun handed out champagne infused cotton candy to guests-a great idea for a late night snack!
And since we were in Chicago, we had to have Garrett Popcorn, specifically the Chicago Mix-a must! How cute would a popcorn bar be with this snack?
