Darcy's Diary: 3 Valentine's Day Ideas I'm Loving
Cool Chocolates
With Valentine's Day upon us, I thought it was only fitting to spotlight some of my favorite chocolates! If you've got chocolate on your brain pre-February 14, or you're searching for bridal party gifts or wedding favors, check out Compartés. Even though the company has been around since 1950, they're always doing the coolest, newest things. They use fresh, natural ingredients, and I'm particularly obsessed with this giant heart chocolate box ($99.50, compartes.com), which makes a fun gift for someone you love.
A Special Anniversary
Happy 130th Anniversary to the Tiffany Setting (introduced in 1886)! Tiffany & Co., which needs no introduction, is known for this innovative ring with a setting of six platinum prongs that makes the diamond really sparkle. Recently, I was at Tiffany and got to see how the design of the ring highlights the beauty of a brilliant-cut diamond.
I especially love their latest ad campaign because you get to see behind the scenes and see the testimony of the real artisans who do everything by hand just as they did 130 years ago. (Obviously, anything from Tiffany & Co. makes the perfect Valentine's Day gift.)
A New Accessory Line
I'm so excited that my friends Andy Spade and his wife Kate are launching a new accessory line, Frances Valentine (which, naturally, is launching during this time of year)! The name comes from a combination of Kate's parents' family names. The shoes and bags are cool, stylish, and colorful. Check them out if you're in the market for a special bridal accessories for your wedding, bridal shower, honeymoon, or just because!
