Just over a year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot, the happy couple (and proud new parents!) have a lot to celebrate. This past weekend the two held a private baptism for their son Archie Harrison, and the meaningful family gathering had several ties to the couple's May 19, 2018, nuptials. For the intimate christening service, which was held at a private chapel on Windsor Castle, Meghan Markle recycled the $15,000 Galanterie de Cartier swirl stud earrings she wore on her wedding day. According to the Daily Mail, the earrings, which are made of 18 carat white gold, feature a main diamond and four smaller half-moon clusters of smaller diamonds.

The meaningful similarities between the couple's wedding day and their son's baptism didn't end there. On the fashion front, Markle chose a white Dior gown, paired with a white fascinator, that was reminiscent of her Givenchy wedding dress. Stylist Rochelle White told The Daily Mail, "The boatneck line, which resembles her wedding gown, seems to be a Meghan favourite and go to. It's a style that she knows suits her and something that she is comfortable in. I feel the christening was a moment for her to wear items that link the two events together in a subtle and meaningful way."

Another way in which the religious ceremony was connected to the couple's nuptials? The baptism was performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who notably oversaw Meghan and Harry's wedding, as well as the bride's own christening several months before the big day.

The Sussexes shared two images from the service, which was attended by 25 guests, on their joint Instagram account. They wrote that they were "so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son." While members of the royal family and Meghan's mother Doria Ragland are seen in the photos they shared, the couple has chosen to keep their choice for Archie's godparents private. According to Us Weekly, Archie's godparents, who were also in attendance, have not been named but are speculated to include Harry and William's former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourkeand Harry's best friend Charlie van Straubenzee."
