"Nashville" Star Clare Bowen and Brandon Robert Young Are Married!
After a two-year-long engagement, Nashville actress Clare Bowen and boyfriend Brandon Robert Young are officially married! According to Us Weekly, Bowen married her musician fiancé on Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee.
Details from the couple's big day haven't emerged yet, but it's starting to look like the pair made it a month-long event. At the beginning of October, the Australian native posted a photo of her parents in an airport on their way to Nashville. "My parents waltzing their way through @sydneyairport to come help me do all the things I never thought I'd do, because I never thought I'd get married, because that's something that happened to other people. I really had no interest in it at all," thestar wrote on Instagram. "Then @brandonrobertyoung turned up and turned everything upside down [...] I get to see them tomorrow and I'm not crying you're crying."
The pre-wedding festivities really picked up over the weekend. On Friday, Bowen shared photos of a boat celebration, which included friends, family, and a unicorn cake. Early on Saturday, the actress posted a photo of a lakeside sunrise and revealed that the big day had finally arrived. "Watching the sunrise. Wearing the blanket I was wrapped in when I was born around my shoulders," she wrote. "Gonna go marry my soulmate now."
Bowen's posts were clearly emotional, which might have had something to do with the couple's extended engagement. Young proposed onstage at The Grand Ole Opry in December 2015, but the couple's planning process came to a halt when Bowen's younger brother was diagnosed with cancer. "We put everything on hold as we couldn't imagine having a wedding without him being able to be there," she told the Daily Telegraph. In January, after Bowen's brother entered remission, the couple announced their plans to marry in the fall.
