Annie and Robby

Weddings are a bit of a family business for Annie Meyers-Shyer. Her parents, Nancy Meyers and Charles Shyer, cowrote the 1991 remake of Father of the Bride, which Annie's dad also directed. Annie played the flower girl in the film.

On September 2, 2012, life imitated art when Annie married her leading man Robby Koch in an intimate ceremony in her mom's lush Pacific Palisades backyard.

Mother of the Bride

Annie and Nancy snuck a glimpse of arriving guests before the ceremony.

Nancy had a large hand in planning the big day and Annie credits the picture-perfect execution to something her mother told her about the planning process: "She said, 'I was the director and you were the star, and it helped that I was in love with my star.'"
