Real Wedding: Kary and Terry, Bel Air, California
Kary and Terry
As a network-television executive, Kary McHoul had listened to countless writers pitch their ideas for pilots. But when Terry Gaten entered her office, she saw something special. "We had such a good time talking, we never got to his idea," Kary says. They began dating, and before long the couple fell in love. Six months after their first date, Terry proposed.
Kary's Lazaro gown is duchesse satin with beading and pearls.
A graceful archway leading to the Hotel Bel-Air's lush gardens frames Kary and Terry at their June 2002 wedding. Under a gazebo, the couple exchanges vows.
Guests are greeted at the reception with pineapple-and-raspberry cocktails.
Strolling to dinner, Terry kisses his bride's hand.
The tiniest members of the wedding party pose for a photo.
The couple's private table reflects the wedding's palette. Garlands of blue delphiniums drape the chairs.
